The Administrative Prosecution Authority refers six officials at the Medical and Educational Administrations at Menya Governorate to speedy trial for their complicity in committing terrorist crimes

Since one of the crucial roles of APA is combating extremist views within the public offices and ousting any public employees who were - by a final sentence -found involved in terrorist crimes or adopting terrorist concepts.

 

Immediately after the issuance of the judgement of the Egyptian Court of Cassation in the appeal no.21161/87 which was originally registered as crime no.1842/2013 North Menya issued in 28/4/2018 and received by APA in August 2018, the Administrative Prosecution at Matay City in Menya Governorate ordered to refer six accused officials to prompt disciplinary trial as follows:

1-Two Arabic Teachers

2-Elementary stage teacher  

3-Physical Education Teacher

4-Social Care Specialist

At Matay Educational Administration

5-Clerk at Matay Medical Administration

 

For being involved in committing terrorist crimes which took place at Menya Governorate where they were accused of these crimes in case no 1842/2013 as follows:

1-Participated with others in a mob in order to disturb public peace, to commit crimes of aggression against persons, private and public property and to negatively influence the work performance of police officers by force and violence using firearms and bladed weapons.

2-In complicity with others, they premeditatedly murdered the Vice Police Commissioner of Matay Police office and attempted to murder a police officer

3-Used violence and force against their victims in order to intimidate them and inflict physical and emotional harm on them.

4-Intentionally ruined public buildings owned by the government and deliberately caused the failure of Matay police office and set it on fire beside damaging all the records and documents found in the police office.

5-Enabled some arrested criminals from escaping and ran off with the weapons they found in the police station.

6-In violation to the law they managed a group whose purpose was to prevent the implementation of the constitution provisions and to harm the national unity.

 

The Administrative Prosecution at Matay City conducted investigations in case no.244  before Chief Prosecutor/Adel El-Awamry under the supervision of Counselor/Mohamed Mohamed Hassan- Head of Matay City Administrative Prosecution, where the prosecution followed up the issuance of the indictment report in case no. 1842/2013 for 21 defendants who work at Matay Educational Administration and Matay Medical Administration where the Egyptian Court of Cassation issued its final verdict  in 28/4/2018 and the defendants were sentenced to life imprisonment.

Accordingly, APA concluded its aforementioned decision and also ordered to defer its decision regarding the disciplinary accountability of 15 other defendants who are also workers at Matay Educational Administration where default judgments are issued against them for the same incidents until the issuance of the final verdict in the mentioned crimes.
