APA’s inspection on Nage Hamady Public Hospital reveals the presence of severe negligence and corruption

As per the instructions of Counselor Aly Rizk/ President of Administrative Prosecution Authority, Counselor Shabaan Abd Al-Ghany/ Head of Nage Hamady Prosecution commissioned Chief Prosecutor/ Omar Hamam to move to Nage Hamady Public Hospital at Bahgora Village and conduct an inspection on the hospital premises to determine the validity of what was published in one of the newspapers regarding the hygiene measures at the hospital.
Accordingly, the Prosecution conducted an inspection accompanied by Director of Hospitals Management, Head of Medical Funding Administration, Medical Equipment Technician and Financial and Administrative Inspector from the Medical Administration at Qena Health Affairs Directorate where the inspection revealed the poor hygiene measures at most the hospital’s departments, the breakdown of the x-ray device since November 2016, the storage of beds, chairs and other medical equipment on the surface of the hospital without taking any procedures to determine what could be used and what should be disposed also the overflow of sewage water formed a pond at the hospital which lead to the spread of diseases.
